Safety worker examining an overhead lifting hook in a factory

What does a LOLER inspection actually cost?

There's no fixed LOLER inspection cost, because no two jobs are the same - a single lifting sling and a multi-storey passenger lift take a different amount of an engineer surveyor's time to examine properly. What determines your price is the equipment type, how many items, how accessible they are, and where you're based.

Why there's no fixed price

Plenty of providers advertise a "from £X" figure. This is always a marketing number, not a real quote - it's almost never the number you end up paying. PULO Compliance has built it's reputation on honesty and transparency which is why we prefer to get the full details from you first. A LOLER thorough examination takes as long as it takes to do properly; pricing it before knowing the equipment means guessing, and guesses aren't compliance.

What's included in every PULO quote

There's no hidden extras once we're on site: a full written Report of Thorough Examination meeting every legal requirement, photographic evidence, and every defect classified as either safety-critical (with a repair deadline) or other. You can see exactly what that looks like on our sample report. What you're quoted is what you pay - nothing gets added afterwards for producing the report.

How to get an accurate quote

Send us a list of what needs examining - equipment type, roughly how many items, and your site location - and we'll come back with a proper quote. If you're not sure exactly what needs a LOLER examination versus a PUWER one, tell us what the equipment does and we'll work it out with you.
